Today was the first Spanish class for the Sparrows!
Alicia taught friends how to greet in Spanish: "Hola" and "Buenos Dias." In the beginning of each Spanish class, Alicia will go around the circle greeting each friend and each friend will greet her in return.
Alicia also taught us the good morning song, Buenos Dias.
After our greeting and singing, Alicia read us a book, with a popular character named Spot.
To end out time together, Alicia we sang the goodbye song Adios.
Snack helpers helping bring snack to our classroom!
During morning meeting, friends listened to a story about friendship. After the story, the Sparrows gave opinions and ideas about how we should be in our classroom. We are going to create a Sparrow Classroom Contract and post it in the classroom.
Friends' ideas are listed below:
Thea- Be kind to
people
Jessica- Play with our friends
Vivian- Share with
friends
Natey- Be nice to everyone
Gracie- We should be happy and hug people
Millie- We should be
safe and clean up
Asha- Say sorry and thank you and please
Henry- Include friends
Jaylen- Help a friend if they need help
Lincoln- Take care of our classroom
It was very wet outside so we decided to go downstairs and run around. The Sparrows played games like Mr. Fox, Hokey Pokey, and also practiced different ways to walk (crab walk, bear walk and many more).
Back in the classroom, Asha proudly presented her family collage.
Ask your Sparrow how they should be in the classroom and/or take care of the classroom.
