Gracie- I think I played a game with dad. We're almost going to Kelsey. She lives at Disney World. She gave me a huge Olaf and a lighting up cup and a Olaf cup. It has a nose and it is so long. I am serious because Wyatt got poked on one of his eyes with my Olaf cup. I stayed up for New Years and we went to Nate and Noah's to watch Ralph. Nate and Noah and Alan and Hannah and Adrian came over to watch the Eagles. The Eagles won!

This morning the Sparrows got right back into the swing of things, just as if we never left! We shared excitement and stories that the new year has already brung! Before going over our daily morning meeting jobs, friends went around the circle greeting one another with a handshake, hug, high five or wave.
Ask your Sparrow how they greeted their friend.

The Sparrows enjoyed their usual fav choices together!

Today in art, Amanda explained that we would be making monoprints. First, each friend got their own"plate." Friends used a roller and blue paint to cover their plate. Once their plate was covered with blue paint, friends used different materials to create lines and images to make their monoprint unique to them. Once the plate's image was to their liking, friends used a piece of paper and gently pressed it onto their image to create a monoprint.
The Sparrows enjoyed this art activity very much and made 2-3 images each. Friends were able to successfully follow all of the different steps in the process of creating their monoprints!

Now that it is officially Winter, the Sparrows thought it would be a good idea to decorate our classroom with snowflakes. We are going to put the snowflakes up on our windows, and are hopeful that this will bring some snow!

It was a joy to watch the Sparrows reconnect with one another and their peers in the classroom and outside on the playground after a couple of weeks a part.
Ask your Sparrow what they enjoyed about being back at school with their friends.
